I am a passionate & highly motivated technology professional with over 25 years of experience in managing multicultural teams and directing operational & technology departments within the services industry.
My primary areas of expertise are in directing strategic projects in IT Management & Governance and PMO, with extensive experience in (virtualized) production environments, (web) development and telecommunications systems, all within an international context.
I am interested in propositions that leverage my experience in directing strategic projects and managing teams in multicultural environments and that need not necessarily be only technology related.
One of my first challenges was back in 1997, when I set up and run for several year a 30+ seat contact centre for an ISP. Later I moved on to help build and develop contact centres and technology platforms throughout Europe in my role as regional IT manager and later Europe & regional CIO. To achieve this, I had not only not to work on the technical side, but also on the procedural and documentation side, as well as training the different teams on how to manage and operate the different infrastructures put in place.
More recently, I have been working as a Technology Director responsible for creating and running major infrastructure solutions that are providing self-service and business applications through web and voice portals, creating virtualized platforms for in-house or remote working (flex-working and home-shoring) solutions, and consolidating existing heterogeneous infrastructures into one, fully redundant services platform.
After working as a consultant to provide consultancy and expertise in PMO and ICT strategy for multinational clients within France, I have moved into a Technology Director role, taking on a full range of interesting challenges in service management, service delivery and IT operations.
In working with many multinational companies, I have learned to appreciate the many differences in business processes and specific market segment requirements each of these companies encounter in their corresponding markets. Overcoming these differences has not always been easy, but with the right mindset, willingness, and good teamwork it is always possible to find and implement the best possible solution.
